I've just read from page 1 to the end... it's awesome!

I love seeing other people's spaces, and I keep seeing tips I can use in mine. Someone had a shot with their ironing board right next to their sewing machine, at the same height. It suddenly occurred to me that my ironing board is also adjustable, for the last few months I've been cursing at the strain to use it from sitting down because it's too high! LOL Such a simple thing! lol

Oh, Patty, that's really lovely! You are so very fortunate to have such space for all your creative endeavors!

Thanks for sharing, everyone! This is so much fun!

    Catherine,

You don't have to spend a fortune to get a workable table -- that even gets your sewing bed flush with the table surface!

I recently bought a Roberts 299 portable sewing table [http://www.sewingtableshop.com/sewin...le.cfm#details] and it works great. I needed something that would fold up and that didn't cost a bundle. This one fit the bill perfectly.

Check around; you might even get a better price than this...

OK, here's mine - small but perfectly formed! I now have a design wall so that gives me some vertical space at least! My stash cupboard is just outside the door on the landing - there's a handy alcove at the foot of the steps to the attic which is my FUTURE sewing room!!!

The little wallhanging was a sewing room warming gift from my friend Katrine on the board!

Here are my pioneer BOM on my design wall - I couldn't get far enough away for a better pic, but it's 6' square -the wall opposite the desk; DH made it the other day, it's flannel stapled to a wooden frame - I love it!

Another shot - I love my little ironing board - it's great for blocks and small pieces of fabric and I can just scoot over there in my chair!

I am truly envious of all of you. I quilt on the dining table which is packed away each night before dinner. I layout and cut out either on the table or on the living room floor. Fabric is kept in plastic boxes hidden away in little places all over the house.

We have just sold our house and are moving to a bigger one. The kids have earmarked a room in the new house for me to use as my study and sewing room, and told my hubby that it needs renovating first before any of the rest of the house. For the first time in ages I can see me having somewhere that I can leave a project while working on it.

Keep posting your pictures - they are giving me inspiration and loads of ideas.

Here is my sewing room..I could stay down here for days if I had a bed in here too.. the only thing I would wish for is a window..my sewing haven is in the basement and on the windowless end but I love it.

Just found this thread ... very fun to see everyone's room. I struggle with organization because it doesn't feel like cleaning if I am picking something up and putting in a box. That just feels like re-arranging the mess, I want to use it up to take care of something!
