Love the idea. It5 looks like rick rack (maybe?) for the fluted edges. Think I'll give it a tryl.

Type Art Threads in your browser (I use swag bucks--google) click on art threads blog spot Click on August 2012.
Scroll down until you come to August 15. There you are. But no Rick Rack on the crust.

There is a ton of other cool stuff to look at so have fun. If you can't get there PM me

The pattern I used is Grandma Dot’s Fruit Pie Hot Pads. You can Google it or check this link: http://www.pacificfabrics.com/shop/p...t-pad-pattern/

If you can’t find the ric rac locally, you can order it here: http://www.theribbonretreat.com/Cata...FQWCQgodQQ4Ajw It’s the Jumbo size. Or you could gather up some fabric as shown here: http://sewing.about.com/od/homedecpr...tpourripie.htm

The pattern just calls for the ric rac sewn on flat, but I folded it in half and liked the look better.[/QUOTE]
