    Made this from directions in the links section. I meant to put buttons on it but then I just merrily went along making it and didn't remember about buttons until I was almost done. :roll:

    I used the stitches on my sewing machine to embelish the seams and the ribbon along the bottom. I didn't have any felt for the bottom so I used blue and white flannel.

    This is very cute pam! You can add the buttons on now, if you wish to. Just bring the knot up in the middle of where you want it to be, then sew on the button leaving it kind loose making a small loop each stitch. This gives you room to stitch it on. Then insert the needle through the button hole so it is below the button, wind the thread around the loops two or three times and use a quilter's knot to finish it. The knot pops into the material to hide it. Works great! You might want to try it on a trial piece first but it is a way to place buttons on something after it is finished.
