That's so pretty! I love how you used one fabric for the fan, and the quilting? Wow!

How innovative!! This is a real beauty, even with black dog hairs on it lol

I love to hear how people find simpler solutions to achieving such an artistic result with less work :D

Your quilting is amazing for your first attempt, did you free motion?? :D

I used a walking foot to stitch in the ditch for the blocks (basically because I was afraid the quilt would shift on me.) I used a template to mark the white fans but the pink fans I just free-handed them. It was nerve-racking for the first one or two but then they just sort of moved themselves. This was the quilt that really hooked me on free motion quilting. :D

What a beautiful quilt Lee. Love the fan all in one color, I was looking at a site the other day and they made a fan quilt block in different colors. I was thinking I would like it in one color and here you put these lovely pictures of your quilt up. The machine quilting is fantastic!! I know how hard that is to do because I do it all the time and still do not have enough practice to be able to quilt like you did. What talent! It is a beautiful quilt, you be PROUD Girl!!
