Very pretty quilt. I am sure your grandniece will really love it. You did very nice work. I am glad you didn't try to cut the sashings on the bias. It seems to me that would have led to lots of trouble keeping it from stretching, etc. I love it like it is.

I thought it would work better on the bias because as it is, cut on the grain, when one looks at it close up, one can see that the grain is not on perfectly straight. It wavers along the length of the fabric. I often tell myself "Perfection is overrated", but I still feel a little dissatisfaction when I see a flaw like that.
