Nice group of helpers there!
My DH helps me. We pin on the dining room table (protected with a giant piece of cardboard, of course). I put the pins in and he goes behind me and closes them! :)

You have some great helpers :thumbup:
As for pinning large projects...you might check you LQS's. Often times, they will allow you to use their large tables for pinning and basting when they aren't having classes. ;-)
