I am going to post a photo of Matt at the sewing machine. He watched this quilt being made and one day his mother said, "Matt, would you like to sit here and sew?" He said yes...so I sewed one straight seam, he sat down and sewed five more next to that one, about 1/2" apart. I said, "Do you want to sew another piece?" and he said, "Oh no, no thank you" and stood up. I think he just wanted to see how that sewing machine worked!!

Neat Pinocchio quilt. Love your DGS interaction with the whole process.

Thanks everyone for your kind compliments. Just to wind up this thread, my DD said she walked into the living room and Matt was sitting on the sofa with his new Pinocchio quilt across his legs. He lifted up the quilt along side of him and smiled at her! She said, "Aw Matt, you're gonna share your quilt with Mama?" and as she slid next to him to share the quilt, he smiled and said, "Very good chob! Thank you, your welcome!".
That's about as wonderful a compliment as any grandmother and mom ever got, eh?
Please be grateful for your healthy children!
