Pinterest Party Christmas Present quilt
#44
Thanks everyone! This is by far the most responses I have gotten!! Must mean I am learning
Yes - mine is exactly like the Jenny Doan one. I got my "pattern" from the Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial. I love love love Jenny. My heaven is an afternoon with Jenny and Mary Fons...maybe add Ebony Love to that group and it would be perfect!!!
Ok - sorry for the late response - our Pinterest Party works like this: Everyone makes a craft and a food. The one we did a couple years ago was Fall. That means all the crafts and food was Fall related. We opened it up a bit this year and just made it Winter. So Thanksgiving, Halloweeen, Christmas, and just Winter crafts would be included. The idea is to make something you have seen on Pinterest. So pretty much anything you want!
We all eat wayyy too much....play some games similar to something like a wedding or baby shower then each gift has a number assigned to it. We all pick a number and get the gift that matches. Last year I did candles in a glass vase with popcorn inside and leaves on the outside...This was my inspiration: http://www.myheartsdesireblog.com/20...ane-vases.html
And I will post a picture of my gift. Clearly I went all out this year. But quilting is "my thing" so I am happy to do it.
Its lots of fun!

Thank-you so much for posting your wonderful gifts. Because I need instructions (lol) what mixture is on the bottom and is the leaf on the outside or on the candles? I can tell the smaller candle has no leaf but just making sure on the other 2. Thanks again for the pic of your beautiful quilt and where you got the idea...Love Jenny!

We live in Port Washington so Fireworks Popcorn (which is AMAZING) is local. I used their harvest blend because I liked the colors. The leaf is wrapped on the outside of the candle of all 3 so it would have to be taken off before it was lit. The charger plate was literally like $0.99 at Michaels. Very affordable and super cute

It was so fun to make and pretty easy! I used fat quarters because I didn't want to wait for a layer cake or charm packs from Missouri Star Quilt Company It worked out well because I could mix and match all the colors. I finished this in about 3 weeks with is very very fast for me. But only because I had a dead line! One weekend was all the cutting and some piecing. The weekend after was most of the piecing (and the sashing as you go is a great time saver!) and finally putting all the blocks together and the quilting. I just love the MSQ tutorials!!
