    I have a question. Are "layer cakes" always 10" squares?? I am trying to figure out what size layer cakes she used in her video.

    I think layer cakes are 10", I am cutting my stash into 9 1/2" squares, using my 9 1/2" square ruler, to make my blocks and the first sewn block is squared up to 12". Have not cut/sewn the final block yet but am pleased with starting with the 9 1/2" fabrics, even numbers to deal with when cutting them into thirds.

    I've seen churn dash set on point and I love it that way...bet doing on point with this block might be fun too!
