    I just snipped the edges like you would do in raw edge. I trimmed the batting down to the seam after squaring it up and then just snipped, washed, and dried.
    this material is so ravely that I made my last sewing seam double.
    but is seems to have held through the first washing. That is why I quilted over every seam. Not the best choice of quilting material but I can only say usually I am determined not to be defeated.
