    Default Pinwheels on point...pieced, finally!

My daughter requested a summer quilt...oversized King size...she chose the colors and pattern. The colors are mostly variations of teal, with tiny bits of yellow, gray, and lavender worked in. I picked the actual fabrics...took me quite a long time to piece..the pattern was a Missouri a star pattern, planned for using 2-1/2"jelly roll strips...I cut all my own strips, because it would have taken tons of jelly roll packages. I adapted the pattern to make it extra large, added one slim extra border in brown, to play off all the teal...the pieced border is a by product of the pinwheel on rails process..I will use a brown print for backing and solid brown binding..but Im sending this one out to the long arm quilter, don't think my arms are up to machine quilting it myself. Will post the finished quilt someday

Wonderful quilt...I can only imagine how many jelly rolls you would have needed for such a large quilt. I can't wait to see what the longarmer does with it.
