    The pattern is "Pinwheel Paradise" by Laura Coons from the book Jelly Roll Dreams -- I copied from a picture that was posted a few weeks ago on the board and called interlocking bnatik pinwheels and this is what the gal said the pattern was.

    Wonderful quilt! The red gives it depth, although your idea of black would have done the same. For a child, your choice of red is great! Nice, nice, nice!
