and small scraps of fabric or strips of patchwork waiting for a home. Lots of possiblities and looks like they'd be easy to store. Could you mention the size that they are?

OMG!!! What a GREAT idea!!!! I may have to 'steal' it. Right now I'm winding my binding around an empty paper towel cardboard tube. Thanks for the pics!!!

the pool noodles are roughly 48", and I just cut it into 6 even pieces.
The fabric is then cut larger about 9" x 12" so that it wraps fully around and tucks in about 2" on the ends!

Such a great idea! I'm thinking of making them to sell at the next quilt show boutique. How much do you think I should charge for them?

NOW is the time to get your pool noodles at the $ store!
Once they are gone, they are gone until next summer!

I use those special FQ's, left overs, scraps, etc.
Be sure to turn under one of the long edges to serve as the FINISHING edge once rolled on.
I did use a dowel to push the fabric into the ends, but found that my finger works better, so you can really squish the fabric around in there and make sure it has glue!

These are light weight so make great gifts to send! They are cheap and easy to do so can be easily donated to the "guild boutique" at your next quilt show! have fun!

    Happy crafting!
Do you put a ribbon through the center hole so you can hang it around your neck???

Those are so cute. What a clever lady you are! Next time I am in a store that sells the noodles, I am picking me up one. Thanks for the idea.

I just use a toilet paper roll, put a cord or shoestring through it and make like a necklace. Roll the binding on, put it around my neck and away I go. No messy tangle of binding all over the floor.

Very clever...I'll remember that before I throw out the old shedding (they wear out from the clorine) pool noodle.
