    the glue never really goes onto the foam. AND this foam has a coating on it, to make it water proof, so the glue does stick.

    I am sure you could use the noodle "as-is". I make mine to be of a GIFTY nature..so they get wrapped in pretty fabric and made to look FUN and useful!
