One and All ... Your kind comments are so appreciated.
Because I like how it turned out so much, I keep muttering to myself, "Why didn't I do this sooner?"

ShannanMN ... You're absolutely right! Nope, they will not be getting it back. This one is staying with me for sure.
However, I do have a couple more place mats that did not get cut up! So I still have some possibilities in the future!

DHMom ... I have absolutely NO clue!! The Christmas deadline will give it lots of time to brew, and hopefully I'll figure something out in the meantime!

JanRN ... Of course, you can say Amooooooooosing!!! I too had a dalmatian and thus had the double spotty issue! At the same time we had a Goldie. So a Jersey dog and a Holstein dog for the two bovine breeds that we had!

RedQuilter ... I figured they just "had" to be in the HITBD/CD block!

CrQlter ... I know what you mean. I have had the same happen to me with other things before. So much so that I am sometimes very careful to NOT tell others, things that I have picked up. Perhaps a bit spoil sport on my part, but gee, sometimes what others choose, are just not what we want. Right?

Homespun ... I really have no suggestions to solve your problem. Are you seeing pics in other threads OK?

Susann ... the Jerseys are jealous that the Holsteins got the hats!

RedGarnett .... hhmmmmm? want to get rid of your scraps? They may come in handy for me when I use what is remaining here.

Super repurposing. I remember that fabric, in fact I may have some in my stash still.

QuiltE, thanks for always giving me either a laugh and/or pix of some fabulous/cute creation(s) of yours. I do appreciate you!

Your story reminded me of one: My longest running friendship goes back to about 1959; she & I both grew up on dairy farms in the same neighborhood. As an adult, my friend has visited us in many places throughout the country over the decades (we were military & moved a lot). She came here to visit us one Christmas; naturally one of her gifts from me was a pair of cow slippers that made a MOO sound when you squeezed one of its ears. We both found it hilarious.

Love it! My Christmas quilt was made using Churn Dash blocks also and was so fun to do. Always nice when we can take something we already have and repurpose it.

What a great "re-purposing" you have accomplished with those place mats. This quilt is super cute !! Love the quilt.
