Default Placemats & tablerunner for Thanksgiving

Here are some placemats I made for my Thanksgiving dinner. I used the scraps to make a table runner using Insulbrite - that way I can put the warm casserole dishes on the table.

Love your dining area and, of course, your quilt work.

Does Insulbrite really protect all types of table tops or are there some that just should not have hot pots on them no matter what? Or, if I put a double layer Insulbrite in one would I be safe? I just never know when tops, whether table or counter, are safe for heat. :-(

Love the runner and placemats!!!! Wish I had mine done, but I'm thinking I'm not making it for Thanksgiving this year, to many things to do and not enough time. Yours are beautiful!!!!! And I love the idea of using the insulbrite inside the runner for dual duty. Did you put batting in as well? Sometimes I use insulbrite and a layer of batting, just for a secondary heat barrier.

    Thumbs up

I really like them. Where do you find fabric with words of that nature?
