I have just finished my first Dresden Plate and I'm happy it turned out ok. Was afraid it wouldn't. Now I need help as to what I should do next. Is the background colour ok? I haven't attached it yet. Do I need to quilt it? (I can't machine quilt:p ) It's going to be a wallhanging. Would appreciate any help given. THANKS!

I like the colours you have used. You can hand quilt it by doing in the ditch round each petal. Have you tried it on a black background? I think the colours would stand out really well.
Can't wait to see your finished product.

That is really beautiful. What color are you going to use for the centers? I am not experienced so I can not help with the quilting. Just wanted to say it is beautiful.

TQ for your suggestions. You know, it never occured to me to ever use black in any of my patchwork. Tried my Dres. plate on a black background and it is really striking! :-o But I'm not sure about putting it on my WHITE wall....

I love it,dresden plate is on my "to do" list, I purchased the templates last week. I think a dark background would really set it off.

You did a beautiful job! If you like hand quilting I would do around the petals also.
