    I have my great aunts treadle apart, now tell me I can get it cleaned and back together.......do you think I can get the metal parts clean?

    Yes, you can. Check the threads for Billy's cleaning tutorials. Thats what I did and mine looks great. Make sure you post pics when your done!

    Evaporust works great,safe to use on metal parts.Check Vintage sewing machine spot here on board Billy has a wonderful tut.
