    I always use embroidery thread, makes no difference which brand, you just use what ever your machine works with best.

    I have a Viking Designer 1 with the floppy disk. The 4D program is made by Viking they now have a 5D program. I'm sure there are other programs out there that can do this sort of thing and I would suggest shopping around because they run about $200. or more.

    No I haven't seen the 5D the first one was so expensive I didn't want to look for fear I'd blow a lot more money on it.
