    Smart little girl!!! She already knows that love doesn't necessarily match everyone's decor. So glad you rescued it!! :thumbup:

    Oh Mama, what a lovely little girl you have, such a sweetheart! The quilt will mean so much more to you with such a sweet story to go with it.

    Quilts deserve to be rescued. Nice quilt & sweet daughter.

    I'm so glad you rescued it. I've done the same thing a couple of times. Just because I know how much goes into making these.

    your daughter already has the heart of a quilter. it's like seeing a nice quilt used to wrap furniture on the back of a pickup when someone is moving, and it flaps in the wind. or you make a nice quilt for a child and then see the family dog with it

    I would have given it a home too. Your DD knows how quilts should be treated.

    Your daughter has great empathy---you should be so proud.

    I remember going to a garage sale and seeing a simple Christmas Wall Hanging. Like yours, it was uncomplicated and mostly just green and red blocks. You can imagine my shock :shock: when the garage sale lady said, "Oh, my MIL made that for us....." Like you, I bought it and gave it a good home.

    A born "rescuer", very sweet story and the quilt is delightful - good "save".

    Your 6 year old has much insight on what you do and how you feel about it! She deserves a {hug}
