    I would be anxious to see a better photo because this really isn't bad. Trying to imagine brighter photo. Amazing what one can find at a garage sale.

    Those Iris are a sturdy lot - I love their smell - good find. See you can't keep a good iris down!

    What a fantastic find and I'm glad you rescued it. Sometimes people don't appreciate what goes into making quilts and equate them with cheap knockoffs from China. We need to keep educating people about the importance of older quilts, wall or bed.

    ..wouldn't we all feel blessed to have our Mother's sewing/quilting treasures? especially with Mother's Day so close.

    Just finished stippling and mctavishing one of these treasures that I bought at a thrift store for 2$ also...I really cherish who ever spent all the time making the georgeous irises.
    So glad to be able to put Eileen Sullivan's name on the back for the pattern credit...
    ......it will stay on my wall.
    It's called , "this is why I go to thrift stores!"
