Thanks Sparky's Mom....

We were pretty tickled when we were done. My hub had to build the cabinets IN the room and I'm guessing they are THERE FOR LIFE.

Ya know.. we have vaulted ceilings and the lighting is not that great in any room. I have a few OTT lights in there, but... BUT.. .what works the best is when I wear an LED backpackers head lamp when I'm cutting and ironing blocks. I realize I look DAFT (it cracks my hubby up), BUT I tell you.. the light is ALWAYS concentrated right were I need it! I've already worn one out and I'm on my second one. They are GREAT!!!

Funny.....mine would show my bed, closet, dressers and the bins I have fabric in......oh, and don't forget the top of every available surface covered with additional fabric and 'tools of the trade'.

Here is my Sewing Playground that I created all by myself!
Yep, I'm kinda proud of that fact! It is only about a 8x8 room but to me it is 80x80! I love it! I hope you do too!

This is where my fabric is stored, along with books and magazines, and sewing essentials.

This is my baby! A bulletin board to post blocks for reference while sewing. The little white drawers to the right are where my thread is. The smaller one keeps needles, pens, thimbles etc.

My spot where I sit and read The Quilting Board.

My hand painted pegboard that keeps my tools organized. More fabric stashed in the 3 drawers. Notice how the brown table goes from one wall all the way to the other. You have to look a two pictures to see it all.

My little stash has grown a bit since this picture. The shelving is a goodwill find.

Another goodwill find, the hanging folder tote to hang fabric. Works like a charm!

My entire room part one! You enter at the far left....

This is part two. That is a closet on the far right, next to the doorway . Not very big but created BIG things!

Boy, I look and wish but I can't enjoy my sewing room like I would like too. Maybe in about 5 to 8 years when I can retire.

I have a closet and a Hooiser Cabinet I use for storage of fabrics and projects.

If I had my way, I would be sewing in the livingroom!

OMG, Led Zeppelin and the Doors?!!! AND quilts?

Well I will not be posting my sewing room since it doubles as my office and the TV room and sometimes I have to put the ironing board away. If I want to lay out a quilt I have to move the sofa.
If company comes I have to put it all away because it is also the guest room.
My whole stash is in 6 small bins.
You can tell quilting, for me, is a sometimes-hobby!

And lately our dog has been chewing things so I have to keep it all off the floor.

I love ALL the photo ideas...BUT BUT BUT... I've come to a conclusion. Some of us have "sewing rooms"...and SOME of us have "QUILTING STUDIOS". There seems to be a WHOLLLLE LOTTA DIFFERENCE.. lol
