Mine were all lost in a house fire, too. I'm thinking it was no great loss in my case!
Losing things like that is always a great loss. A lot of the things I had as a child where thrown away . I wish I had some of the things now. I was very excited to find out I still had baby books of mine. It saved a gift from my godmother when my sister said it was hers.

Darn, can't find the baby photo, but here's one of me and my sisters back in the hippy days of 1972.... ooops 1975.

I'll give a PIF to the first person who can correctly identify the location.
Haha okay I'm gonna guess Germany? Austria? Switzerland? In the Appalachians? LOL

Aw shucks and I was just about to guess Colorado ;)

Our parents must have been friends. LOL I think my shoes had to be made of iron or something like it before my parents would buy them. They were very frugal as money was tight in those days.

Ah yes----the hand painted photos. I have one of those and probably the only professionally taken photo we had until school pictures. Wonder which taped up box that photo might be in? Maybe a visual will serve the purpose instead. My mother sewed everything (as did most everyone back in the day). I had on a pink dress with darker pink heart buttons down the front, a peter pan collar and a cute smile on a round face. My curls were done earlier by wrapping them upon white strips of cloth. So there you be, my fellow quilters. I am one of the older ones for sure.

Lots of adorable mid-century babies! How about an 80s baby? :)

My mom had her hands full keeping me clean. I was ALWAYS playing in the dirt.

With my grandpa and my favorite book--barefoot as usual.

I did clean up pretty cute, though. That's my little brother digging into my animal crackers (he's 15 months younger).
