Postage Stamp Christmas quilt

Postage Stamp Christmas quilt
Christmas of 2013, I had made 3 Christmas quilts, and since I have 7 grandchildren, we drew cards to give those 3 away. To say the least, the other 4 were disappointed, and I told them that they would get theirs this year. I have finally finished the 4th quilt. I do still have to batt, quilt and bind it, so this is just the finished top. When I was making the postage stamp blocks, I really wasn't happy with the look, but I plowed on and got it done. Then I put on the sashing and cornerstones and set the blocks on point. That presented a minor problem, that when I added the triangles around the edges, I also had to sew the sashing and cornerstone onto the triangle. But it all worked out. I added 3 different borders to make the quilt larger. It is roughly 70x90, but all of my grands are 5-9 or taller, so the length is fine with them. Enough chatter, enjoy looking

This next picture is just a close up, so you get an idea of the fabrics that I used. I did use the same fabric more than once and ended up with some of them close to each other, but, oh well.
