    No such thing as cheating!

Things are progressing nicely. I am ironing all the scraps and sorting them.
Thank you everyone who has sent scraps!
For those that have offered on this thread to send some. Right now I am seeing where I am at. If I come up short I would love for you to help. Or if you just wanted to be apart of the quilt you can send a few scraps I would love for as many people as wanted to be apart of this.

If the person who sent me a big flat rate box from Idaho is reading this please Pm me. I would love to thank you in Pm for such a generous gift! Thank you!

I am also making a postage stamp quilt. I have been cutting block and want to use different fabrics also. Never thought of asking for scraps from other quilters. I will have to ask my quilting quild for scraps. Thank you so much for the hint. Do you have enough scraps. Would love to send you some.

I have cut quite a few one and one half inch squares.
I use a larger square or rectangle template that has needed markings in one corner.

Gets a little distance between holding hand or fingers and cutting tool.

Cut two sides then rotate fabric 180 degrees (a half turn of piece of fabric being cut). Now cut two sides and square is complete.

    *UPDATE*

    Thanks everyone for the comments.

I have not been able to work much on the postage stamps this week.
I have all of the scraps ironed and ready for cutting
So now begins the fun part.
I am still playing around with a design I am not sure what I am going to do. I have been working on making a design but I am not sure yet.

Update to those that have sent scraps and want scraps in return
I have not been able to mail anything this week. It has been real crazy. We have our house up for sale and we had 3 showings and a open house in the last 4 days
So I am unable to make a mess hehe.
I will get scraps cut out and start to mail them this week
    Sorry for the delay

No pictures today as not much to show but just wanted to give an update

WOW! To have a huge project going like this AND have your home on the market is a HUGE undertaking Girl. I think you will have the most awesome quilt when it is done though! I admire your stamina, patience and determination. Keep up the great work!

I really like using the 3 1/2 inch Creative Grids square for cutting smaller squares like this ( a 2 1/2" square is good too. The lines are thin, can be easily seen, and aids in getting accurate squares. Happy cutting and sewing. I've been working a a 9 patch charmer using 1.5 inch squares.
