Here is my first attempt at Prairie Points. I decided that this very plain baby quilt pattern needed something extra AFTER it was quilted. I just couldn't put straight binding around it.

It is the 3rd of the 3 memory quilts for my client/friend Laura, from her late friend's scrub tops and over 30 1/4 yards of various fabrics.

I hope to do a much better job with practice, since it is a nice way to finish a quilt.

I arranged the points in a rainbow around the quilt, using most of the fabrics I received for the projects. The quilt was quilted with variegated rainbow thread.

Not perfect, but I think she'll like it.

Great looking. I have a lot of scraps that would make a border like that - you have inspired me!

You were sooo right, the prairie points really "finished" off the quilt :D Good job on your quilt! Another fine piece of art! :D :D :D
