That is absolutely cheerful and lovely! I love it, I also do not really care for tied quilts, but that is my choice.
If you get suggestions from people like your SIL and don't want to do it their way, just smile shake your head like you are agreeing then do what YOU want to do.
Your mom is going to just love it!
warm quilt hugs, sue in CA ... who hopes one day that her daughter, who doesn't sew now, will one day surprise her with a wonderful cheerful quilt that looks like your table runner!

Thank you again everyone for the encouragment! After looking over the prices on the Amish quilting site earlier today, I think I'll keep right on hand quilting! Who knows....maybe I'll get done nursing and just start quilting all day :) After a lot more practice of course!

[quote=Lori L]I posted the following pictures under the main section in a discussion about my sister in law hurting my feelings. I had showed her my hand quilting project I was doing for my Mom and she suggested "it'd been easier if you'd "tied it off" and proceeded to give a long lecture/instructional on how to perform this technique. Anyhow...here are some pictures of my project. All I have left to do is complete the binding and I'll have the tablerunner ready for Mom's birthday next week![/quott
this is so good and incredibly neat-------ignore your SIL either ignorant or jealous?
