Don't let someone else's opinion spoil your joy. Each crafter must do what brings them the most joy. If the hand quilting (which is beautifully stitched) brings you the most joy and fills your spirit, then that is YOUR gift. Use it to enrich your life and let others do it their way. If you are not satisfied that you have done your best, you will never have that joy of the completed work. Your gift is evident in your work. Enjoy it...your mother will be so appreciative.

Very pretty, your hand quilting is so neat and pretty. I hand quilted a lot years ago and mine didn't look that good. Now I only machine quilt, a lott less time and much faster. I know about jealous Sisters, I had one.
You did a great job and your Mom will love it. Good for you!!!

It is very special and the hhand quilting is what makes a quilt special. Someday I hope to hand quilt one just to prove to myself I can do it. Determination or just plain stubborn.
