You did a beautiful job on this and the gold rings is a wonderful idea. My niece is insisting that this is the only quilt she wants and I am dreading it! Which pattern did you use?

Absolutely gorgeous, they will love it. I love all the fabrics used. I only got a diamond ring for our 50th last year. Made me happy, I was totally surprised.

Thank you for all the nice comments. I'm pleased with it so far. The real test for me is always in the quilting. I wish I were better at that part, but I guess it will come with time.

I used the Eleanor Burns' method as shown in the Egg Money Quilts book. It was really not all that hard except for the half blocks on the side. For some reason, matching the triangles on the half blocks with the triangles on the whole blocks was messing with my head. My husband (the engineer) said a bunch of math gobbledy gook and then trimmed the blocks for me. I still have no idea why they didn't fit the first time!

It's beautiful... but I can see another lovely showing through... can we see that one too?

Per request from Lori S., this is the quilt under the double wedding ring. It's called friendship squares. It's also from the Egg Money Quilts book.

It is such a pretty quilt. I love the 30's repro fabrics. The gold rings are a super idea.
