That is a nice looking block. And making larger blocks is a good way to use large scale fabrics. I will definitely keep this idea in my to-do file. Thank you for sharing.

I just saw this in the Aug magazine issue also. It's perfect for a quick quilt I want to make for a young mom who wants things modern and bright! She'll love it.

I thought if it is in a magazine you could reproduce it. what is the name of the quilt? Is it in the August or June issue?

Wow, that's a big block. I love the block with the wintery woods scene that material is so cute. I can see this block being wonderful for large flowery prints or a wonderful paisley. I cannot wait to see your next blocks.

Thanks everyone, have made three more of these blocks this morning, inbetween wash & taking care of two Grandkids. This is not my pattern but came from Better homes & garden americn patchwork & quilting for August 2012.
I'm making one scrappy 30's and one scrappy Christmas.

Well, you're in luck beacause I love scrappies, 30s AND Christmas fabrics/quilts, so I'll take any of them... LOL! This is so cool! You could use some of those beautiful big prints in them... perfect!
