What a wonderful quilt to treasure always.

If I were making one from scratch I would use that method. THe blocks I have are already together and just needing the half diamond.

Your quilts are wonderful and I think the yellow is the same. Why oh why can we not get that same yellow now?

Beautiful!!! I have a quilt my Great-Grandmother pieced and then later my Grandma hand quilted. It's hanging on my quilt ladder in my bedroom so I get to see it everyday.
This is another one Grandma made. She embroidered the blocks and then hand quilted it. She traveled quite a bit with her group of friends and I remember her telling me she was almost finished with this and it had gotten dirty on one of her trips. So without thinking she tossed it in the washer and all of the quilting pattern came off! She spent the next month tracing it back onto the fabric.
