Here's a couple boy quilt tops I've made. I like to buy panels or remnants with blocks. I then cut out the blocks and build the quilt around them.

I made this quilt last year for my grandson. I looked and looked for boys fabric and patterns with no luck! I was lucky in that Moda's Happy Campers line had just come out and it did have quite a few boyish prints. I threw in a couple of 30's reproductions for a little more color.

This is the John Deere quilt I made for my grandson. The fabrics in this quilt don't "match" but they do work together. The tan and green fabrics both look like fields seen from the air. The design looks similar to a disappearing 9 patch but it's strip pieced.
