Turn the backing under 1/4 inch to match the front then slip stitch around the edge.

Beautiful job! - Binding is easier than you'd think! I did the Star Sapphire Quilt from Phillips Fiber Art. I was also puzzled about how to bind all the angles on the edges. They are actually easier than a straight 90 degree corner. Just approach it the same way you would a regular corner, only the angle that you fold over is less and it comes out beautiful.

Your fabrics are gorgeous! Aren't you excited to make your next similar quilt? Looks so hard, but its not, even for a fairly new quilter.

BL Trip, I think these patterns are addicting LOL! I just bought 2 more of them. Have you gotten the free pattern for the finishing pieces to make the decagons into squares? It's on the same "page" as the other patterns I ordered. I like the way she manipulates fabric (ala Jinny Beyer) to add more interest. I'm going to try that with my next one.

Thanks again everyone-really appreciate your time, compliments and suggestions.

You will be happier in the end if you bind it. And you will have learned a new technique...go for it!

That's beautiful. I always bind all of mine.

just bind it like you normally would--you don't even have to use bias binding. I've made 2 tabletoppers of the same shape and it's really easy to bind.

Very Beautiful! do the binding bias for sure much more ease.

Phillipsfabricart.com has a video on binding a hexigon quilt. Go to the site, enter binding in the search box and you will find it.

Oops, it's not a video, just instructions with pics. Good tho.
