Were you at the Threads of Tradition retreat this weekend I heard it was the largest so far.
Hope you had fun.

I have had issues with the "blocks" and decided to set Easy Street aside for a while. I have been given instructions on how to "square" a triangle block and will hopefully retain that knowledge to finish this project.

Nice work. Like your colors:)

That's where I was! There were 96 of us, which is capacity for them. Have you been? It's such a great retreat. We went a day early and were raring to go Friday morning. Fun stuff!

Can I help in any way? Sometimes setting it aside for a bit can help!

I really like how yours came out. Was it fun to do? I bought fabric and printed out the instructions but she had it at such a bad time for me. I love doing mystery quilts but after I had seen the final quilt the suspense was over and I decided not to do it. I still could though....

LyndaOH 02-09-2013 04:17 AM

Thanks Pam! It was fun to do but I'm not sure it would still be fun knowing ahead of time what it looks like. I wish I had followed by instincts more on fabric choices and not used the black and whites for backgrounds. It makes it so busy! My longarm quilter is going to use white thread and fairly simple quilting to try and lighten up the effect of the black.

That said, I'll probably do next year's mystery but I'll trust myself more to choose a color palette.

Thanks again!
