Bookshelf Wallhanging
1 Attachment(s)
I haven't got someone to hold it, so I pinned it to a curtain! I just finished this bookshelf. It was so much fun to make. I wrote the names on the book with my embroidery machine and some of the books I just cut a picture from a piece of material and appliqued it. The pattern is designed by Marianne Roberts and published in the Australian Patchwork & Quilting magazine Vol 17 No 8 February 2009. I adjusted the size to fit my available space. We are a group of 5 ladies who work together once a week and everyone is working on her own project, but each one get a turn to suggest something that we all make, so that one day when we are old and shaky (about 300 years from now if I look at all the things we still want to make - LOL) we can look at the quilt/wall hanging and think - Rina suggested this. Thanks for looking.

Great job on this bookcase quilt! :)

That is the most lifelike book shelves I have seen. The embroidery really makes the books realistic and the added knicks knacks add interest.
