This is a really cute candy dish! Your neighbor will love it, along with the candy inside!

I found the bells at JoAnns along with some mini jingle bells.
This one I used 6.5" square fabric, midweight interfacing and lining. Stitched, together leaving about 3" on one side for turning. Top stitich around edges. Fold in half (end up with a rectangle) Marked about 1/2 to 5/8 inward on the fold, and another mark about 1.25 up the side and stitiched point to point for the taper on each end, then folded the other sides and stitched again.
I've also done this using 10.5" squares and stitched up the sides 2.5" and taper to 3/4 on the fold.
I made a smaller one about 8.5 and just a slightly smaller taper (don't remember what I did for this one!)
Cute baskets and everyone enjoys receiving them!

So pretty! Those would great gifts for like my mailman & my trashmen & a few of my neighbors. I usually give them candy trays but I'm not going to make much candy this year if I make any at all. Thanks for the idea!

How clever you are. I've seen this little "basket" used as a thread catcher, but had not thought to use it ass a candy dish! Very well done. Thank for the measurement info.
