Go with stitch in the ditch, it will highlight the quilt better then a lot of squiggling threads meandering nowhere!:o

This quilt is wonderful. Great job, love the colors.
Very pretty. Love the colors! :)
However you decide, it will be even more gorgeous.

tesspug has it!

Maybe do some intricate quilting with black thread in the borders, and then SITD everywhere else? I agree, let the braid and Celtic parts shine without adding distracting quilting.
You are right, the quilt has a beauty of its own, I made a similar braid quilt and I just "stitched in the ditch" always remember "Less Is More", as a suggestion maybe hand quilt around the Celtic Knot designs to make them "Pop".
The quilt is magnificent, the colours are stunning, it almost looks like a leadlight window, congratulations. |
OHHHHHH! So pretty!
That is beautiful!
wow... great colors
Since you designed and constructed that gorgeous quilt, I am confident that however you quilt it will only enhance it. Just a beautiful job.
I think all of the appropriate adjectives have already been used. I have been in love with French Braid for a long time but this is the most dramatic one I have ever seen. Congrats on a job WELL done.
very pretty !!!!
You made a gorgeous quilt! I agree with the SID suggestion for the main part and embroidery with the knots. Your design and fabrics totally speak for themselves.
I'm drooling, this is gorgeous!
WOW, WOW, WOW,!! What an awesomely gorgeous quilt! Great job on choosing those colors! So dramatic! Just beautiful!
I think SID would be appropriate. |
Since time is of the essence, I'd SID on the body of the quilt and then do a cross hatch on the border, using masking tape to mark it out. Absolutely stupendous work!
Outstanding. Quilting by SID and maybe fancy up the borders will be nice
