Love your quilt and the story, too. I see that you were a wonderful quilter from the beginning.

Great quilt and a great story! I have a 40 or 50 year old Riccar in a cabinet that I sew on. My sister gave it to me 28 years ago when I got married...she had 2 machines. I am looking to get a new machine (juki2010q or janome1600p), but am a little nervous about getting used to "new". And I have always sewed with the knee control...would have to get used to foot control.

Lucky you to have your very first quilt and to have your son quilt it. Wonderful quilt story.
I wish I had the forethought to take a photo of my very first quilt. It was a king size log cabin that I made after taking an Eleanor Burns "Quilt in a Day" class some thirty years ago. Those were the days before rotary cutters and we actually ripped the strips from the fabric :hunf: I gave it to my then boyfriend. Silly me. Both are gone now. |
Wonderful story and I love your quilt. Good job.

I'm 66 years old and maybe when I grow up, I can quilt as beautiful as you do. This is incentive to "just do it" !
Thank you and the quilt is very pretty. You are a born quilter! :) |
