Marcia, It's lovely.
I know you would have like to have it finished sooner. But didn't you know. You can't count chickens, not when they are running amok. Great job, and each one has a story to tell and a memory with it. Thumbs up!! |
I love it! Especially the long legged chicken.
Thank you so much for sharing your quilt with us and posting such beautiful pictures! The quilt is fantastic and you did an amazing job making it! I loved seeing the chicken quilts your friends made, too! I love chickens! I was fortunate to have grandparents who had a chicken ranch and sold eggs at their house. There was also eleven acres of citrus trees and lots of freedom for a child to explore and run around. Anyway, I really appreciate seeing your quilt and am inspired to consider making a similar one!
Very whimsical, and very nice. Hopefully you will be a prize winner too! The long legged rooster caught my eye and made me smile. Thanks for the history behind it.
This is so darling.
Very nice chicken quilt. I love chickens and roosters also.
How cute!!!!
Absolutely love your quilt. I, too, am a collector of chickens for my kitchen. As I have mentioned we recently moved and I am trying to decide just how many chickens this kitchen can accommodate. Cute chickens just never seem to go out of fashion. Do you plan to enter your quilt in a show? You should.
I love that, how adorable!

I remember when there was a block swap and lots of people came up with different chicken blocks and shared patterns. I did not join that but was jealous of those who did and made the cuteist sampler quilts! There might be enough interest to do that again on here. Brenda

Such a charming country chicken quilt. I love your story of its creation!
Yaaaaaaayyyy! Love chickens!!!!!!!!
I love it! That tall rooster is hilarious, the chicken in the top left corner is one of my favorites. Some things just take a little longer, I have lots of those.
You did a great job pulling all the blocks together! A wonderful addition to the chicken collection!
