The quilt was originally opened by one of my sister in-laws (married to husbands youngest brother) and was quickly stolen by another sister in-law (husbands only sister). Not to take any chances she had her husband steal it from her. We play the game with only 2 steals per gift. The whole family enjoyed looking at the pictures and reminiscing.

Really love it. So beautiful.

sheliab12 12-30-2012 04:38 AM

Can you tell me what product you used for the photos and did you wash it (quilt or photo) after you made them. I used a product on a small project and when I dampened it to get the paper off the ink ran off.

all4flors 12-30-2012 04:40 AM

Wow, the most awsome quilt I have ever seen! This quilt is a "stealer" for sure! :)

I used EQ Printables and followed the instructions letting the ink dry for 15 minutes, peel off plastic backing and the soak in water for 10 minutes. I did quilt in the ditch around the picture blocks.

Great quilt! Definitely worth stealing. How many times before it reaches the final owner?

Glad to see it was 2 times (didn't read everything right away), because I could see it going around a lot. :) Lucky couple!

Did you have a pattern? We took three of our grandkids on a vacation this past summer and I have hundreds of photos and have been looking for a pattern in which to use them in a quilt. Would love to have this pattern.

It's a simple log cabin and I use Electric Quilt to come up with block placement. I got a new computer a couple of months ago and I just checked, didn't bring over any of my Electric Quilt files, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

joyce888 12-30-2012 04:32 PM

Wow I bet there was a lot of stealing going on this year!

Juniors_Sister 12-30-2012 04:51 PM

solstice3 12-31-2012 06:49 PM

Absolutely amazing

mebesandee 01-01-2013 10:48 AM

What a beautiful quilt!!!! Fantastic!!!
Would you please give me some pointers? I am doing a T-Shirt Quilt for a good friend. Navy retired. All his saved Navy tees. I am going to put his Dress Navy Pic and his Casual Navy Pic. Dress...is black and white. He wanted that to be like his Father's pic. The other one is in Color. I have bought the Printer's Treasure printer cloth. I have never done this before and very nervous about it. If it were mine...wouldn't be scared. But since it is his and means so much that the pics be on this quilt...I am. So from looking at all those wonderful pics you put on here...I think you are the one to ask for help.
Thanks in advance if you can.
Sandy
