Congratulations. And, thank you for teaching our children. You and all teachers deserve a standing ovation and a bigger paycheck. God bless.

You will love retirement. No more papers to grade, report cards to prepare, and no more lesson plans when you'd rather be quilting!

Cute idea! Enjoy your retirement, and thanks for your years of teaching the kids~

The last few years of teaching can be hard! (Ask me how I know.) I'm going to borrow the idea if that's ok. I have a bunch of counting down to do!

Doxiemom, please feel free to use and share this. I am sure my friend would be very pleased to know that someone else thought it was a cute idea.

Works for deployments, too. Congrats on your upcoming position as full time quilter.

I retired in June after 37 years of teaching elementary school. I do still miss the children and the excitement of teaching. Retirement is a big adjustment, but I do have more time to work on quilting projects. You can finally take a vacation during the winter, too. Congratulations and best wishes.

Thank you! We've already used paper chains to count down the last days to Winter break and Summer break--this is a splended extension of the idea!
