debbieoh 01-20-2011 05:31 PM

The Cross quilt is just amazing. How striking!

gwanma 01-20-2011 05:47 PM

This must be one of the best cross quilts I've seen. I love the way you have those little shafts of yellow poking through here and there...simply wonderful!

Lucy90 01-20-2011 05:53 PM

The Cross Quilt is stunning and I like the wildlife one also. Very nice job on both quilts. Can't imagine doing the Cross Quilt - just beautiful

Laura3 01-20-2011 05:54 PM

The Cross quilt is stunning!!

pastormarilyn 01-20-2011 06:55 PM

I am absolutely at awed at your work. The cross quilt was probably a blessing to your church, and I am sure your brother loved his quilt also. I often wonder how long do you have to be quilting to do work like this. I am looking forward to it.

Shelgar 01-20-2011 06:57 PM

Both quilts are beautiful and the cross quilt is amazing!

I have been quilting about 1 1/2 years so don't give up. I never thought I could do it either. This was my first attempt at paper piecing and applique. Keep at it.

nanap 01-20-2011 07:09 PM

Both of your quilts are just beautiful. The Cross Quilt is simpley awesome. I am sure everyone in the church appreciated, it and it made their church services most impressive.

LivelyLady 01-20-2011 07:18 PM

Both of the quilts are wonderful. I like the scenes on the quilt for your brother. The colors in the cross quilt are beautiful.

LiveToQuilt 01-21-2011 08:32 PM

Gorgeous cross quilt! I couldn't stop going back to it.

mrsmail 01-22-2011 09:12 AM

Both are works of art.

Boxer mom 01-22-2011 09:41 AM

Beautiful, and your brother will need that quilt. DH, is a trucker and drives to JH, WY. and it is freezing cold there in the winter. It had gotten down to 40 below with the wind chill one time so he had to leave the rig running all night so it wouldn't freeze up.

Sister Sal 01-22-2011 05:20 PM

I love the cross quilt. Did you design it or was it a pattern? I sure would love to do one.

Lisabet 01-22-2011 06:31 PM

Both are beautiful. Well done.

jkferrari 01-22-2011 07:37 PM

Can you tell me how I can get the pattern for the Cross Quilt. My cousin in Dayton, and I in Escanaba, have been working on wall hangings for our churches, and I love this.

amma 01-23-2011 08:58 PM

I love them both, but that cross quilt is stunning :D:D:D

moms_pantry 02-14-2011 09:35 PM

Wow! I like them both.

justflyingin 02-14-2011 10:00 PM

Looks like some enterprising someone could design a cross pattern similar to this and sell it to all the people here who want the pattern. I'd buy it as well and it would motivate me to learn paper piecing!

They are BOTH gorgeous. How big are they?

I love your use of the wildlife fabric. I have most of them as well and should do something similar. My dh is from Alaska.

Thank you for your kind words. The cross quilt is 40X64 and the wildlife one is larger than that but I don't remember the size and it is already in WY hanging on my brother's wall.

I suggested that the lady who did the pattern for me to make it and sell it but I had seen a picture of one similar and she didn't want to encroach on someone else's territory. Sorry.
