Fabulous. I adore scrappy quilts that are done well, and yours are great. Wish my scraps combined so well. Lots of work went into those. Congratulations on your achievement.

Holy Moly...it's spectacular!!! I just learned QAYG method and made a quilt for my sofa back. They are so quick and easy to do...can't wait to do another one:)
Your quilt is beautifull! I especially like the buggy wheels side.
I really like what you made out of the scraps. Both sides of the quilt are stunning.
Wonderful use of scraps...i love it !

OMGoodness...it is beautiful. I have to confess I never cared for "scrap" quilts but since seeing many here I have totally changed my mind!!! Your's is my favorite!!!!! Great job.

Wow....both sides are wonderful!!! Scrappy quilts are such fun.......yours is beautiful!!! :)
Well... I am speechless... and can only agree with everyone's praise of your gorgeous scrappy quilts. You have inspired everyone. Thank you for taking the time to answer questions. It is so helpful to others you have inspired. I have a tiny question. Years ago I used warm n' natural on a queen size 50th anniversary quilt for my parents and found it to be so very heavy. My Mother had a hard time handling it due to very weak wrists. Would you choose a different batting if you were to repeat this gorgeous reversible quilt again?
Wow, both are absolutely beautiful. I especially love the one with the black sashing - really pops the colors. Looks like lots and lots of work went into these, but great results!!!!! Stunning!!!!
How awesome. Two for the price of one. Wonderful work.
Love both of your quilts!!!

What a beautiful quilt. Fabulous use of scraps ....you definitely win the war and my vote for # 1 quilt of the day
My gosh. How inspiring! This is one of the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen. I Love the scrappiness of it - but that it is still so perfectly pointed. Thank you for posting. Is there a name for the pattern you used for the stars?
Did you quilt this yourself??? Or on a longarm?
I don't think I would have been able to make it double sided, I would have gone for two separate quilts. But they are both beautiful! Very inspirational. It's quite irritating how little fabric it takes to make a quilt top, and how much scrap it generates. Scrap quilts are almost a necessity! Happy Quilting and Happy Showing Off!!!!
All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE IT!!
I have been considering doing a two sided quilt for my son and DIL. The reason is that I cannot decide what to make for them, so I thought I would do two and they can switch what they like best.... plus its less expensive to quilt-by-check than to do two separate quilts. Yours are gorgeous! Was it difficult to quilt two at a time? |
amazing, stunning, what a beautiful pc. of work!!!

This is one gorgeous quilt! I love that it is fully reversible and both sides are fantastic! this ought to last eons, worth its weight in gold. How did you do white binding on one side and black on the other? Did you make them separately and then sew them together? I guess you are free to fabric binge now that you have used all your scraps!
I have come back to this quilt to drool over your photos, well, I can't tell you how many times. All I can say each and every time is WOW, except for the occasional "unbelievable!"
Such a beautiful work of art. I dont have a king size bed, but would b uy one for this quilt. Wonderful work

And yes, I would definitely try a lighter batting because the Warm & Natural cotton batting did make the quilt heavy. Probably some of the heaviness is due to the zillion seam allowances of the two sides, but having made only two quilts with batting, both times using W & N, I didn't know enough to take that into consideration. (I do now! :D) |
I just found the book you used, Quilt Lover's volume 10 at the Meredith publishing site for 14.95 plus free shipping. I just purchased it. Can't wait to get started on my scrap bags. Thank you so much for this inspiring quilt!
Nicely done! I love the look of a double quilt all made from scraps!! Thanks for sharing with us.
What an awesome job. I love scrap quilts. I'll bet you used lots of fabric out of your scrap bin.
