Have your husband go to this website http://www.thesupper.net/ and take a look at The Supper Quilt. It's truly amazing. I think the maker of that quilt and your husband may have something in common - a love of creating quilts with tiny pieces of fabric.
I am speechless! If they're 5/8" squares, finish at 1/4, that means 3/8 of the fabric is folded under - more fabric on the back of the quilt than on the front! Does he trim the seam allowance after he sews it? Pressing all that would be a feat it inself. Wow!!!
It seems to be the men who do these tiny piece quilts. We saw one in a museum in KY, tiny hexagons, all hand pieced - by a man.
WOW! Beautiful!

He has been making quilts almost as long as I have - I had a bunch of scraps from sewing when I met him and I taught him to machine-sew. He does the tops (most of them) and I do the handquilting and designing.
Again - WOW! I would love to have any and all of these!
Love them...great job :-D :-D :-D

He sounds like he'd be the ultimate perfectionist with the PERFECT outlet for his perfectionism.
Congrats on the good job on teaching him to sew and congrats to him for his patience and obvious perfectionism--and in this case, it is a "match made in heaven". |
That man deserves is amazing to be able to see to do them much less to have the patience...thanks for sharing.
