That is just sad. Sounds like she doesn't have a life of her own. At least that is my opinion of anyone who has the "need to know" about anyone else's business. I figure if you are busy, really busy, making a life of your own, you really don't have that need to find out the nitty gritty about everyone/anyone else.

Very nice. Was the back "quilt as you go" also? I've not done that yet and am trying to understand how the top and bottom are put together. Thanks.

each block is quilted on its own, just as if it was going to be a " mini " front, batting, backing ! Then after all the blocks are quilted I join them with the sashing. I butt two blocks up to each other and top stitch the sashing. I sash the back side first using a 1/2 inch narrower strip than I am using on the front, this way when I put the top sashing on, it hides the stitching from the back sash !

That is great. I'm sure your mom will love it.

Love your quilt and I'm sure your mom will too! I like the idea of quilt as you go. I haven't tried it, but definitely on my quilt/craft to-do list (which seems to grow daily after seeing great ideas) LOL

I think it will look great with blue binding. You did an excellent job. Happy Birthday to your Mom.
