What a trip! I brought my late Gramma's hankies to work today to sort through and decide how to layout a quilt with them! And here you have posted your own hankie creation!
I think I will need to frame mine since there are about 30 and they are all different sizes. Some need to be soaked in OxyClean too. Looks like scorch marks on a few. So nice to have another creative male in our group! Keep up the good work, and keep posting pics! |
great idea, love it. Like quiltmaker101 said, keep posting pics. i also agree nice to see another creative male on our group.

What a great way to display such a precious collection!! I've used those to make pillow cases, the hankie as the skirt of a lady's dress, but I always felt awful for cutting them up. Your way is sooo much better!

I think it is very pretty... I would display it too...

A couple of the hankies were from the 40's and I just didn't want to cut them so I though why cut them up when I can just sew them together. :)

My grandmother is trying to decide if she should hang it as it is or put it in a frame to hang it up.

Very cool. It's hard to believe soemone would want to blow their nose on something so pretty. It's sure is a treasure for a grandma. :D

What a great idea! I'll bet it was nice to be creative and have something your grandma could enjoy! It's really nice!
