That is just beautiful, and I love the precision of the quilting. I am an engineer by degree and I just love straight precise lines.

Wow! That is stunning! What a treasure to have from your family....and so nice that you were able to take part in its preservation! You are a very lucky lady.

the one inch postage stamp quilt is the pattern that I learned to hand piece on many years ago. My mom made so many. it must have been her favorite pattern. Of course she used old clothes etc for the fabric back in the depression days when I grew up.

Rnunu - I forgot to say in my earlier post that your heritage quilt is beautiful! and the quilting beatiful also. I treasure the bits of history we find. As someone here asked, you wonder how they ever had time to do this precise work and you wonder why they didn't get it finished into a quilt.

Absolutly amazing, I have two from my stepmother and my kids each have one, they are now more than 30 years old. And still in fabulous shape

What a treasure for you to have something made by a family member of that era. Beautiful job of finishing it and displaying it.

I think G-G-G-Grandmother would be VERY pleased! She did a great job and so did you!!! You have made a multi-generational treasure for your family.
