Wow, it's beautiful. How great you recieved your gggrandmother's quilt and you did such a nice job on the quilting. Love it.

This is just beautiful I wondered if you paper pieced it or if you just did it with strip piecing. It is absolutely wonderful!!!

I still make my postagestamp siqed quilts,all by hand each pieces sewed in.I love doing it.Each row in an around the world pattern contains 4 more blocks. Trying to count and get that many of the same fabric back in the day was very hard to do. lol Now not so bad.

I wonder if you read the introduction to this Family Treasure ..... back in the Year 1840, I don't believe "Paper Piecing" was even a word in the Quilting Vocabulary.

This quilt was "hand-sewn" - "hand-pieced" .... "sewing by hand" .... in "1840" by my "Great - Great - Great Grandmother". I "myself" with help from friends, "Hand Quilted" the entire quilt. The "Hand Quilting" took us almost 6 months to complete.
