I started this full-sized quilt on July 16th and just finished it today. I want to get it to my quilter as quickly as possible so that she can have it back to me by the 15th. It's a gift for a friend I'm going to see on the 20th, and so I want to give it to him then.
If that leaf print looks like something naughty, it is. I'm calling this quilt "Dave's Not Here." You have to be old enough to remember Cheech and Chong to get it. If you're not old enough . . . well . . . that's all I'm going to say about it. I'll just add that my friend will love the fabric. The pattern is free from the Moda Bakeshop. It's called "Portrait Gallery." http://www.modabakeshop.com/2011/05/...ery-quilt.html It was a fun pattern to work on, and it went fast because it lends itself well to chain piecing. I hope you like my quilt. Quilt top Pieced back. I didn't spread it out all the way, but you get the idea. |

Who is it? It's me Dave. Who? Dave. Dave's not here. That's all I remember. Not bad for something, what, 35+(?) years ago (when I was a wee lass in JHS). Classic. And still hysterical!!! CS, MJ, 13. Got it! Great quilt! |
I like the colors inside the bricks. (solids or almost solids)
are so pretty. |
