All 3 of them are adorable!

Very nice.
All are beautiful. Is the first one a stacked posy?
They're wonderful!

Lets see if I can reply to you all. The frog was a pattern called frog cabin. I did rail fence instead of log cabin blocks. The bugs came from a fabric and I just cut them out and appliqued them on the front. The first quilt was an idea I saw on a Fons & Porter show. Just cut squares
7-7/8" from large florals the cut them diagonally to make HST's, added lattice and cornerstones. It was easy. The second one was Eleanor Burns trip around the world from fabrics purchased on my many trips to Tucson. I love SW colors and had this quilt in mind long before I started quilting. Thank you all for your kind words and all the inspiration I get from this site. I just love quilters!!! |
PS - In the first quilt I only used 2 florals and then pulled the colors from those.
Those are beautiful

Fantastic quilts, I love the frog/bug quilt.
Great quilts.
I love it, love it. Sooooo cute. Did you use a pattern for the frog to get it that big? Good job.
Love them all. I love frogs - they make me smile. I do have a question - did you quilt them? Am interested in the middle one - the "circles" is that freehand or a template, or is it a groovy board? That adds so much movement to the quilt.
Cute! Congrats on the finishes!

Great quilts, love the colors in the trip to Tuscon.
Oh my!! I love your trip to Tucson quilt. Do you have the pattern for that?
The pattern for the tucson quilt is in Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day book - it's a trip around the world but with rectangles instead of squares. It's real easy to do cause you don't have to match up any seams!
Beautiful work!! Love your frog!!!
Can't pick a favorite, I love em all, but I am really drawn to your Trip to Touson

My husband and I go to Tucson every Feb. for a buying trip/vacation with friends and it just happens to coincide with Christmas and my birthday, soooo.... every year I would buy some southwest style fabrics with someday making a quilt in mind. Guilt free, of course since I could say it was all I wanted for a gift! That's why it's called Trip to Tucson. I also downloaded a Kokopeli from the net and enlarged it as a pattern for pillow shams but I forgot to post that pic. Thanks for your kind words!!
